York Art Studio : School of Art and Portfolio Preparation
- In all of my Art classes students will gain an understanding on how to use colour, understand colour schemes as well as building on the fundamental art concepts of value, depth, composition and the elements and principals of art. Includes:
- Acrylic Painting, use of gels and mediums.
- Oil Painting, use of mediums, alla prima techniques.
- Watercolor and Gouache, building layers, and wet on dry techniques.
- Mixed Media using variety of paint medias, mark making, use of pastels and textures.
- Collage/ Cold wax oil and acrylic based abstract art.
- Drawing with accuracy, pen and ink techniques.
Options:
- In Person Classes at my home studio in Markham / Unionville / Richmond Hill area. w/ individual attention. For individuals, small groups, corporate groups.- Paint outdoors. Plein Air Painting all through Summer and Fall. Small groups. Instructional. In and around Unionville / Richmond Hill. Or on my porch.

I am available to do live painting events for corporate event, weddings, birthdays and gala fundraiser events. In these live painting events I can paint a large painting while engaging with your guests, or I can lead a fun painting activity.

Very enjoyable class. The teacher did a very good job of balancing the students' wide range of abilities. Pace of the class was good. Pamela is a knowledgable instructor, who is able to impart her knowledge to students in a way that is meaningful and practical. She clearly cares a lot about art and about getting students to understand how to apply the techniques and principles of how to create great paintings.
